How should I plant my seed tape?

Here are some tips on using seed tape:

  • It is best to plant on a day with no wind
  • It is best to plant in a prepared garden bed
  • Check the packet for the correct planting depth
  • Dig a flat furrow at the packets recommended depth
  •  Unroll seed tape and place in the furrow, keep the tape flat
  • Wet the tape, we recommend using a mister to thoroughly moisten tape
  • Carefully cover the seed tape with very fine soil at the packets recommend amount
  • Make sure all parts of the tape are covered or the tape can wick the water away
  • Gently pat the soil down
  • Water the row well
  • Keep soil moist
  • Check the packet to see when the seedlings emerge
